Infographics are far from new. Cave paintings were the first. A visual presentation of information, data and knowledge, infographics happen to be a favorite of mine for telling a story.
Apparently infographics are a favorite of marketers as well.
According to Content Marketing Institute’s 2014 B2B Budget & Trends North America report, infographics as a marketing tool had the largest year-over-year increase – 13 percent—in usage by marketers. Use of all other marketing tactics remained relatively consistent.
Substitute the business card
Instead of passing out the traditional business card, my friend, Karen Malone Wright, founder of TheNotMom.com, hands out an oversized card with an infographic that tells her company’s story.
